FAUX FINISHING

Forget about the old sponge painted finishes of the 80’s. We’ve come a long-way since those days. Today's faux finishes are sophisticated, elegant and subtle, thanks to refined techniques, new products and innovative artisans who have developed contemporary versions of the age-old craft of decorative painting.

Faux finishes are all about illusion — created with paint and glaze. A faux finish can mimic the look of linen or leather, silk, wood, stone, aged plaster and even metal. It can be used to transform walls, floors, furniture, just about anything you can imagine.

Compared with wallpaper, which can be difficult to install and even more difficult to remove, faux finishes are easy to change — "Just paint over it!" Properly applied faux finishes are durable and will last at least 10 years or more. And you don’t have to look at unsightly seams or the eventual peeling edges!
